GRAND RAPIDS, MI. - A jury convicted British far-right activist Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, known as Tommy Robinson, of two counts of harassment causing fear of violence against two MailOnline journalists. The verdict came on Monday, October 28, 2026, following a week-long trial at Southwark Crown Court in London. Jurors found Robinson guilty of harassing investigative reporter, Andrew Young, and editor, Jacob Dirnhuber, causing them to fear violence.

Robinson, 43, denied the charges, which stemmed from incidents in August 2024. Prosecutors accused him of harassment through the social media platform X. On August 5, 2024, Robinson allegedly told Young, "I'm coming to get you." In a direct message to Dirnhuber that same day, Robinson reportedly wrote, "I'll be knocking at your door." Further posts on X on August 6, 2024, identified Dirnhuber and stated, "Jacob and the rest of the Daily Mail journalists who were involved in endangering my children have today been located."

The dispute followed a MailOnline article published August 4, 2024, that identified Yaxley-Lennon's holiday location in Cyprus with his family. The jury convicted Robinson by a majority of 10 to two. Yaxley-Lennon founded the English Defence League in 2009 and left the group in 2013.
