Bolsonaro Flees Brazil
GRAND RAPIDS, MI. - Brazilian Senator and unprevailing presidential election candidate, Flavio Bolsonaro, reportedly left Brazil for the United States on October 27, 2026. The Argentine outlet Infobae reported that Bolsonaro crossed into Argentina and planned to travel to the U.S. aboard a private jet. The aircraft, a Gulfstream G400 with registration LV-JQW, was reportedly owned by Baires Fly S.A. The company requested authorization for a flight carrying four passengers and three crew members.
Brazilian Federal Police (PF) contacted Argentine authorities to confirm Bolsonaro's departure from Brazil via Argentina. PF sources told Metrópoles newspaper that Bolsonaro did not pass through any official Brazilian border checkpoint recently, but acknowledged unofficial crossings are possible. The news emerged a day after Bolsonaro claimed refused to concede defeat in the Brazilian presidential elections later revealing that Brazilian authorities ordered him to surrender his passports and attempted to bar him from leaving the country.
Allies of the rightwing politician, including Rogério Marinho, his campaign coordinator, denied Bolsonaro left Brazil. Argentina's government also rejected the claims. Bolsonaro faces federal police investigations for alleged corruption and money laundering. He posted a video on Monday stating police officers stopped him and notified him of the passport surrender and travel ban. Allies attempted to contact him unsuccessfully since early Tuesday morning.
